The Breckland Bat Project

The Breckland SocietyCoordinated by the Breckland Society, The Breckland Bat Project is looking to increase the level of bat recording in the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecks. More information and results from the first year of the project can be found on the Breckland Society pages.

Cavenham Heath, Suffolk (Andy Wilson)

To take part in this project, first reserve a 1-km square to record in. This can be done by following this link https://app.bto.org/batmap/squares/breckland

To avoid duplication of effort, 1-km squares already selected for survey by participants will be shown as reserved here. The Breckland Society has their own detector which can be borrowed by emailing James Parry [email protected], but a detector can also be borrowed from any Norfolk Bat Survey “Bat Monitoring Centre“, by emailing us at [email protected].
